版画工房 The InkShop での 交換展 Exchanges: Ithaca / Osaka

コーネル大学があるアメリカＩＴＨＣＡ市。そこに拠点をおき活動している版画家たちの工房 The InkShop PrintMaking Center での展覧会が始まりました。
初日のオープニングは、お天気にも恵まれ200人以上の入場者があったと報告がありました。町中のギャラリーが同じ日にオープニングを行い、アートの好きな人がワインやチーズをつまみながらギャラリーを巡るそうです。
コマーシャルのギャラリーではないにしても、版画達が嬉々として見守る中の展覧会、どきどきするものがあります。メンバーにはコーネル大学で美術を専攻した卒業生やコーネルで教鞭をとるアーティストなどがおり、アメリカの田舎町と侮れない版画工房です。
